17th Brazilian Congress of Trauma Leagues – CoLT & VIII Brazilian Congress of Academic Leagues of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
World Congress of Trauma and Emergency Leagues (WCTEL) is the first-ever global congress dedicated to trauma and emergency leagues. The internationalization of trauma and emergency techniques is a key goal of the WCTEL led by Unicamp Trauma League. By bringing together participants from different countries, regions, and healthcare systems, contributing to a more unified global standard of care. Through these efforts, the World Congress of Trauma and Emergency Leagues (WCTEL) will be a great event that will bring together a set of congresses: WCTEL itself, XXVII CoLT – Brazilian Congress of Trauma Leagues, I Brazilian Congress of Neurology and Neurosurgery Leagues and VIII Brazilian Congress of Academic Leagues of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Brazilian Congress of Trauma Leagues (CoLT) is an annual event organized entirely by medical students under the coordination of the Brazilian Committee of Trauma Leagues (CoBraLT). Bringing together leading trauma experts from Brazil and around the world, CoLT has become one of the country’s most important academic gatherings in trauma medicine. CoLT was founded in Campinas through the visionary efforts of Dr. Mario Mantovani, with essential contributions from Dr. Gustavo Fraga. Both renowned trauma surgeons, they aimed to create an academic space for collaboration, skill development, and knowledge exchange among students passionate about trauma and emergency care. The first edition took place in 1999, establishing Campinas as the birthplace of the congress. Since then, CoLT has grown significantly, annually bringing together students and professionals for hands-on workshops, realistic simulations, and research presentations. Campinas has hosted key editions, such as the 10th (2008) and 19th (2017), strengthening its reputation as a leading center for trauma education. Supported by institutions like Unicamp, known for its excellence in training and state-of-the-art facilities, the city continues to set high standards in the field.
The first Brazilian Congress of Neurology and Neurosurgery Leagues is a pioneering event uniting students, professionals and experts passionate about the neurosciences. This congress aims to foster innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge-sharing in neurology and neurosurgery, creating a platform for impactful discussions about the future of these fields. Organized by the Academic League of Neurology and Neurosurgery of Unicamp, with direct support from the São Leopoldo Mandic Neurology League and the academic organization Superliga de Neuro.
The VIII Brazilian Congress of Academic Leagues of Angiology, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery has been taking place since 2016, bringing together students and professionals in the area. It is committed to teaching and disseminating knowledge about the vascular and endovascular area, in collaboration with Brazilian Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery. and, featuring the participation of various academic leagues from all over Brazil, including the Paulista Academic League of Angiology and Vascular Surgery, which comprises 16 leagues from institutions across São Paulo state.
The Brazilian Symposium of Academic Leagues of Intensive Care Medicine (SIBLAMI) is a project created by the Brazilian Academic League of Intensive Care Medicine in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Intensive Care Medicine (AMIB) with the goal of enhancing the knowledge and skills of medical students. Throughout its five editions held so far, SIBLAMI has provided a unique platform for future Brazilian doctors to be exposed to knowledge and updates in the field of intensive care medicine.
