The Postgraduate Program in Gerontology at the University of Campinas (Unicamp) is intended for professionals with a higher education degree, who hold a master’s degree and have experience in health or related fields. The program aims to provide knowledge and develop skills focused on research and teaching in the field of Gerontology.

Key Information for International Students:

1. Program Duration:

  • Master’s: minimum 12 to maximum 30 months
  • Doctorate: minimum 24 to maximum 48 months

4. Admission Process:

4.1 Analyze the CV of each advisor and evaluate which advisor interests you (https://portal.fcm.unicamp.br/pos-graduacao/mestrado-doutorado-stricto-sensu/gerontologia/programa/corpo-docente/).

4.2 Contact the advisor by email and schedule a meeting.

4.3 If the advisor agrees to supervise, both the student and the advisor must prepare a summary of a research project (in the case of a master’s) or a research project of up to 15 pages (in the case of a doctorate).

4.5 If the application is approved, the candidate will receive an email with the date and time of the interview (in the case of the master’s) or the project presentation (in the case of the doctorate).

4.6 The candidate is considered approved if they score 5.0 or higher.

4.7 Since the program offers a limited number of scholarships (for example, through public agencies like CAPES and CNPq), the scholarships will only be allocated after the entire selection process is completed. A quantitative analysis of both the candidate’s and advisor’s CVs will be conducted. Priority for scholarships will be given to students who are fully dedicated to working in the laboratory.
